The head of the 16th Military Police Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, has been suspended, a spokesman for the XVIII Airborne Corps confirmed to Army Times on Tuesday.
Col. Larry Dewey was temporarily removed in October, Col. Joe Scrocca, the corps’ spokesman, said.
“He was administratively suspended on Oct. 19, pending the outcome of an investigation,” he said.
Scrocca declined to elaborate on the nature of the investigation, which first came to light in a Tuesday story by U.S. Army W.T.F.! Moments.
Dewey took command of the brigade back in July.
