The SSC slate is complete, has been approved by the commander of Human Resources Command and is reflective of Army efforts in recent years to increase and broaden the senior service college experience for basic-branch officers.
The slating list includes:
• U.S. war colleges: Army War College, National War College, Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, Naval War College, Air War College, Marine Corps War College and the Joint Advanced Warfighting School.
• Other domestic programs: The Fletcher School at Tufts University, Duke University, Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation, Harvard Management and Leadership School, Heinz College of Carnegie Mellon University, Marshall Center for European Security Studies, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and College of International Security Affairs, Monterey Institute of International Studies, Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, Yale University, Secretary of Defense Fellows Program, Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs, University of Louisville, Notre Dame University, National Security Agency-Cyber, Near East and South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, Georgetown University, Syracuse University, Kennedy School of Government-Harvard, Georgia Tech, University of Texas, University of Washington, University of Denver, College of William and Mary, U.S. Institute of Peace and the Hoover Institute-Stanford.
• Foreign war colleges and schools: NATO Defense College-Rome, as well as programs in Israel, Canada, Singapore, Pakistan, Australia and Argentina.
Slated officers can expect to receive assignment orders 90 to 120 days in advance of their school report date, which for most military schools will be in late July.
