Mixing and matching is OK. The photo at left from 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, shows units are indeed embracing Big Army's encouragement of multiple uniforms in garrison.

In this photo you've got the grey-green Universal Camouflage Pattern on display alongside what looks like faded,war-worn MultiCam uniforms. And there's the shiny new Operational Camouflage Pattern.

Not all soldiers appreciate the mixed look of Army Combat Uniforms in formation, and it's caused some consternation among leaders.

Soldiers have until Oct. 1, 2019, to convert their entire ACU wardrobes from the old grayish-green Universal Camouflage Pattern to OCP.

The new uniform is already available at the Army's biggest posts, and the final rollout will begin Nov. 1. Click here for the final wave of installations, which includes Fort Gordon, Georgia, Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Now we want to hear from you.

How has the rollout gone so far at your post? Are soldiers mixing and matching? Have you purchased the new uniform? What do you like about it? What could be improved?

Have the exchanges been well stocked, or are you having trouble finding your size? Were any problems confined to early in the rollout or have they been ongoing?
