A diverse menu of professional military educational courses ranging from a few weeks to several months in length are available to qualified officers, warrant officers and senior NCOs of the Army Reserve.
The application deadline for fiscal 2016 Additional PME Program nominations is Sept. 8. Applications received after that date will not be provided to the PME selection panel that convenes Oct.14.
Reservists who were selected for a fiscal 2015 course, but who could not attend because of funding constraints, must reapply and re-compete for a 2016 course. The program is conducted on an "opt-in" basis, and applicants are responsible for ensuring their military records are accurate and up to date.
The PME courses included in the 2016 program are listed below. Applicants can list up to three of the courses on the preference statement submitted with their application. Selected soldiers will be notified no later than Nov.12 of their status, according to program details announced July 24 by Human Resources Command in MilPer Message 15-239.
