HONOLULU — A medical examiner has identified the two Schofield Barracks soldiers who went missing from Halona Blowhole this weekend and apparently drowned.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports that 22-year-old Caleb Collins and 21-year-old Shyhein Andrews died after they were swept into the ocean Saturday during rough surf conditions. Their bodies were recovered Sunday.

The two men and a third friend were on rocks offshore Halona Beach Cove on Saturday afternoon when a wave knocked one man into the water. One of the other men dove in to try to rescue him. The current pulled both out to sea.

Master Sgt. Mark St. Clair, 25th Infantry Division spokesman, said all three men at the cove were soldiers and that their friends and families have the division's thoughts and prayers.
