FORT HOOD, Texas — Military officials say one soldier has been killed and three injured when a vehicle rolled in a Fort Hood training area.
Authorities at the Central Texas post did not immediately release the name of the soldier who died Wednesday or conditions of those hurt. The injured were transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
Officials also didn't immediately say what type of vehicle wrecked.
A Fort Hood statement says the four soldiers were part of the Texas Military Forces. That group includes the Texas Army National Guard, the Texas Air National Guard and the Texas State Guard.
The statement says the name of the deceased soldier will not be released until 24 hours following notification of next of kin. Officials did not say which branch of the military was involved in the fatality accident around 7:30 a.m. CDT on Wednesday.
