NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Col. Tommy H. Baker of Huntingdon has been promoted to brigadier general.
Baker is assigned as the assistant adjutant general-Army, Tennessee National Guard, and is responsible for the training and supervision of more than 13,000 soldiers in the Tennessee Army National Guard.
He was deployed to Kuwait in 2004 as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom III, serving as the theater combat service support automation management officer, and again in 2008 as the commander of the 30th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion at Q-West, Iraq.
