Several general officers will be moving on to new assignments, the Army announced Friday.
Here's the list of new assignments for these two- and one-star generals.
• Maj. Gen. Heidi V. Brown, deputy director of Test and Assessment, Missile Defense Agency at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, will become director of Global Operations, J-3, at U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
• Maj. Gen. Clarence K.K. Chinn, deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, will become commanding general of U.S. Army South at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
• Maj. Gen. Theodore D. Martin, commanding general of the National Training Center and Fort Irwin in California, will become the commanding general of the 2nd Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea.
• Maj. Gen. Walter E. Piatt, deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army in Germany, will become the director of operations, readiness and mobilization in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army, Washington, D.C.
• Brig. Gen. William K. Gayler, director of the Officer Personnel Management Directorate at U.S. Army Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky, will become the deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army.
• Brig. Gen. James T. Iacocca, deputy commanding general of U.S. Army Recruiting Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky, will be the adjutant general of the U.S. Army, and executive director, Military Postal Service Agency, Fort Knox, Kentucky.
• Brig. Gen. Donald E. Jackson Jr., will be the deputy commanding general for Military and International Operations, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Washington, District of Columbia. Jackson most recently served as director of the Joint Engineering Directorate, U.S. Forces-Afghanistan, and commander of the Transatlantic Division (Forward) (Afghanistan), Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.
• Brig. Gen. Michael E. Kurilla, deputy commanding general (Maneuver) of the 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas, will become the deputy director for special operations, J-37, Joint Staff, Washington, D.C.District of Columbia.
• Brig. Gen. Joseph M. Martin, deputy commanding general of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, will become the commanding general of the National Training Center and Fort Irwin.
• Brig. Gen. Timothy P. McGuire, deputy director for operations at U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, will become the commanding general of the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk in Louisiana.
• Brig. Gen. Mark J. O'Neil, deputy commanding general (Operations) of the 10th Mountain Division (Light) at Fort Drum, New York, will become the deputy commanding general of the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth.
• Brig. Gen. Mark R. Stammer, deputy commanding general (Operations), of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, will become the commander of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, Operation Enduring Freedom, Djibouti, Africa.
