Rules restricting enlisted with certain tattoos from commissioning as an officer or making warrant are rankling soldiers. And while it's true there is a waiver process in place, there are no guarantees.

However, there is another way to get around the rules: have the tattoo lasered off.

Tattoo removal is a big business. Revenue has surged 440 percent over the past 10 years to an estimated $75.5 million, according to a recent report in the Wall Street Journal.

We want to hear from soldiers who have had tattoos removed. What was the experience like? How much did it cost you? Did it hurt? What did the tattoo look like, and where was it on your body? Was it worth it?

For those who would never remove their tattoos, tell us why. Do the tougher rules do anything to shake your convictions?
