The Army on Wednesday released the name of a soldier who was found unresponsive in his home.
Spc. Bradley Michael Acker, 25, was found Friday in his Copperas Cove home near Fort Hood, Texas, officials said. His death is under investigation by the Copperas Cove Police Department.
Acker, of Canandaigua, New York, joined the Army in October 2010 as an aircraft power plant repairer. He had been assigned to the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, at Fort Hood since October 2014.
His awards and decorations include the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army Service Ribbon.
