Three soldiers injured when their helicopter made a hard landing at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, have been released from the hospital, officials said Thursday afternoon.
Two others remain in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The soldiers belong to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, according to information released Thursday afternoon by Capt. Eric Hudson, a spokesman for the regiment.
The aviators were flying their Chinook helicopter during routine training when the incident happened about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.
All five crew members were injured and taken to local medical facilities. Two were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they remain, while the others were taken to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Fort Campbell. Those three soldiers have been treated and released.
Officials are investigating the cause of the crash, Hudson said in his statement.
