A Fort Hood soldier died Saturday of injuries sustained in an automobile accident crash in Arlington, Texas.
Staff Sgt. Rajarad Williams, a 26-year-old soldier from Dallas, worked as a Patriot fire control enhanced operator/maintainer. He entered active-duty service in November 2007.
Williams had been was assigned to 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 69th Air Defense Artillery Brigade at Fort Hood since 2013.
Williams' awards and decorations include five Army Achievement Medals, two Army Good Conduct Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Marksmanship Qualification Badge Sharpshooter with Rifle.
